Koh Mook (Hat Farang Beach)
The base island for Trang's archipelago exploration — Koh Mook has a white sand beach, fishing village, and is the launch point for the Emerald Cave swim.

About this Place
Koh Mook (Pearl Island) combines the world-famous Emerald Cave with its own excellent beach — Hat Farang (Falang Beach) on the west coast — a long arc of white sand with good swimming, a handful of bungalow resorts, and mangrove forests on the island's east side. The village on the east side is a working Muslim fishing community offering a glimpse of authentic island life. Hat Farang is particularly spectacular at low tide when the sand extends far out. Koh Mook has enough accommodation and restaurants to justify a 2–3 night stay, using it as a base for exploring the Trang islands. Longtail day trips to the Emerald Cave, Koh Kradan, and Koh Ngai depart from the village pier daily. The island is small enough to walk across in 30 minutes. No ATMs — bring cash. Low tourist infrastructure is precisely the attraction.
