Privacy Policy

Last updated: 10 August 2026 · Version 1.2.0

1. General Information

The protection of your personal data is important to us. This privacy policy informs you about what data is processed when you visit this website and for what purpose.

Personal data is processed exclusively within the framework of statutory data protection regulations, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Controller

3. Scope of Data Processing

When you visit this website, personal data is only processed to the extent technically necessary or if you have expressly consented.

Processing for advertising or analysis purposes is carried out exclusively after prior consent through the consent system used.

Important: this website currently does not receive any form data. None of the features listed below transmits your input to us.

Features that open an email draft

The following features send nothing to a server. They open a prepared draft in your own email program. Whether and what you send is entirely your decision:

  • Contact form (info@thailand-vloggers.com)
  • Channel suggestion (creators@thailand-vloggers.com)
  • Issue report (admin@thailand-vloggers.com)
  • Photo contribution (info@thailand-vloggers.com) — you attach the images yourself
  • Creator claim (creators@thailand-vloggers.com) — you attach the proof yourself

Data collected

We receive only what is contained in the email you send. Depending on your request, this is:

  • your sender email address
  • your name, if you provide it
  • message content
  • files you attach yourself (photo, proof)

What these features do not collect

Earlier versions of this policy listed IP address and browser identification here. Since the move to email drafts this no longer applies:

  • no IP address
  • no browser identification (user agent)
  • no storage of your input unless you send the email
  • no newsletter and no registration — neither exists on this website

Server-side logs are unaffected

Independently of these features, technical log data is recorded by the hosting provider whenever a page is requested, including IP address and browser identification. See § 5 (Server log files) for details.

Purpose of processing

Your email is used exclusively for the following purposes:

  • answering your request
  • content moderation
  • creator verification

4. Data Retention

Personal data is only stored for as long as necessary to fulfill its purpose or as required by statutory retention obligations.

5. Server Log Files

The hosting provider automatically collects and stores information in server log files (e.g. IP address, date/time, browser type).

Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest).

Hosting

This website is hosted by ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany.

A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR exists with the hosting provider. The servers are located in Germany.

6. Cookies & Local Storage

This website sets no cookies of its own — not even for audience measurement (see section 8).

What is stored lives in your browser's local storage or session storage. That information does not leave your device; it is transmitted neither to us nor to third parties.

What is stored locally

To operate the site, your browser keeps the following:

  • your privacy settings (key “tv_consent”)
  • the colour scheme you chose (light or dark)
  • the language you chose
  • whether the site assistant's hint has already been shown in this session

Optional Cookies

No optional cookies are set. Cookies can only arise because you load embedded third-party content — see the next subsection and section 11.

Third-Party Content

The following third-party content may be loaded with your consent:

  • YouTube Videos (Google)

7. Consent Management

This website uses its own consent management system to manage your privacy settings. Your preferences are stored locally in your browser (localStorage) under the key "tv_consent".

You can change your settings at any time via the “Privacy settings” link in the page footer or with the button below this section.

Your decision is kept for twelve months. After that we ask again.

8. Audience measurement

We do not use Google Analytics. Until August 2026, Google Analytics 4 was prepared in the code but never operated with a real property ID; it has since been removed entirely.

In its place we use Matomo, analytics software we run on our own server. No data is passed to third parties and none is transferred outside the EU.

The following applies to this measurement:

  • No cookies are set and no information is read from your device
  • Your IP address is truncated before it is stored
  • Your browser's “Do Not Track” signal is respected
  • What is recorded: pages viewed, time on page, entry and exit page, referrer, device class and country

Why this needs no consent banner

Section 25 TDDDG requires consent where information is stored on, or read from, your device. Without cookies and without browser feature detection, neither happens. The legal basis for the processing is our legitimate interest in audience measurement (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

The price of this restraint is precision: without recognition, visits can only be grouped into sessions coarsely. We accept that.

Your objection

You can object to audience measurement at any time by switching off the “Audience measurement” category in the privacy settings. There is deliberately no separate opt-out mechanism alongside it — there is one switch, and it takes effect immediately.

As long as you have decided nothing, measurement runs; that is the legal basis described in the previous subsection. The switch therefore shows “on” until you turn it off — it reflects what actually happens, not a consent we do not need.

Rejecting all categories also stops measurement. That is more than strictly required, but it matches what a rejection evidently means.

9. Contact via Email

If you contact us via email, your details will be stored exclusively for the purpose of processing your request.

Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

10. Newsletter

This website currently has no newsletter and no way to sign up for one. No data is collected, stored or passed to a service provider for that purpose.

Earlier versions of this policy named the delivery provider CleverReach here, along with storage of email address, signup time and IP address. That is not the case — no signup form exists.

Should a newsletter be introduced, this policy will be extended beforehand: with the provider actually used, the legal basis, the data stored and the confirmation procedure (double opt-in).

11. YouTube Integration

This website embeds videos from YouTube. The operator is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

When playing an embedded YouTube video, a connection is established to YouTube servers. Cookies may be set, tracking technologies used, and personal data (e.g. IP address, device information) may be transmitted to YouTube or Google.

We use YouTube in enhanced privacy mode (youtube-nocookie.com) to minimize data transmission before playback.

More information about data protection at Google: https://policies.google.com/privacy

12. SSL/TLS Encryption

This website uses SSL/TLS encryption to protect confidential content.

13. Rights of Data Subjects

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection and data portability.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).

14. External Links

Our website contains links to external third-party websites. We have no influence on their content and therefore assume no liability for their accuracy, completeness or timeliness.

The respective provider or operator of the linked pages is always responsible for their content.

15. Embedded Content

This website embeds content from third-party platforms such as YouTube.

When accessing such content, personal data may be transmitted to the respective platform provider.

16. Processing of creator data from public sources

This platform maintains profiles of YouTube creators who publish content about Thailand. Some of these profiles were created without the person concerned taking part. In those cases the data did not come from them — which is why we inform you here under Article 14 GDPR.

We process only information that appears on, or follows from, the publicly accessible channel of the person concerned:

  • Channel name and channel address
  • Publicly visible channel description and content focus
  • Links the channel itself states publicly
  • Thematic and geographic classification (region, category)

Where the data comes from

The source is the publicly accessible channel pages of the respective platform, primarily YouTube. No non-public data is collected, no contact details are scraped, and no data is purchased from third parties.

Purpose and legal basis

The purpose is to operate an editorial information and discovery platform that makes Thailand creators findable. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in running an information platform, together with the public interest in the discoverability of channels that publish publicly.

We have weighed the interests: we process only information the person concerned has made public themselves, in the context in which they published it. Listing is free of charge, creates no contractual relationship, and can be revoked at any time.

AI-assisted drafting — and what that means for accuracy

The descriptive text in these profiles is drafted with AI assistance from the publicly available information. It does not come from the person described and does not reproduce their own wording.

We say this openly because it has a consequence: across several thousand passages, there is no line-by-line human review. Information may therefore be outdated, imprecise or wrong. We expressly ask you to report errors, and we correct them.

No automated decision-making within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR takes place. No ratings, rankings or predictions about individuals are derived from these profiles.

Your rights as a data subject

You have the following rights in particular, and you need to give a reason for none of them:

  • Access to the data we process about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Rectification of inaccurate information (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Erasure of your profile (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • Objection to the processing (Art. 21 GDPR) — your objection is enough; we will then take the profile offline
  • Complaint to a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR)

Contact

An informal email is enough: privacy@Thailand-Vloggers.com

To protect the person concerned, we verify before any change or deletion that the requesting person actually controls the channel. Once verified, we act on your request promptly.

17. Use of artificial intelligence

We use AI systems to produce content for this website — image generators for part of the imagery, and language models for drafting descriptive text.

This has no consequences for your personal data as a visitor: your input is not sent to AI systems, and there is no AI-assisted analysis of your browsing behaviour.

The assistant on this site is not a chatbot. Behind its replies is a fixed set of written lines running in your browser. No model is called, and nothing you type leaves your device.

Where AI-generated content is published, it is marked under Article 50 of the EU AI Act. Details are on our transparency page.

18. Creator Removal

Creators may request the removal of their profile at any time.

After verification of the request, the profile will be removed from the platform.
