Samut Prakan Crocodile Farm & Zoo
The world's claimed largest crocodile farm with 100,000+ reptiles — live wrestling shows, zoo animals, and a fossil museum 30km south of Bangkok.

About this Place
The Samut Prakan Crocodile Farm claims to be the world's largest crocodile farm, housing over 100,000 reptiles of various species across a sprawling complex 30km south of Bangkok. Beyond crocodiles, the zoo contains tigers, elephants, hippopotamuses, a dinosaur fossil museum, and live performance shows. The daily crocodile wrestling shows are the controversial centrepiece — professional handlers perform with large Siamese crocodiles. Animal welfare standards are not to international norms — visitors should form their own judgements. The facility is significant for Thailand's crocodile leather industry (operated commercially alongside the tourist attraction). The complex is genuinely vast and requires 2–3 hours to cover. Located near the Ancient City and Erawan Museum making a day-long Samut Prakan circuit possible. Easily reached from Bangkok's southern expressway or public bus from Mo Chit station. Entry includes most shows.
