About this Place
Roti Mataba is an institution of Thai-Muslim cuisine on historic Phra Athit Road, just steps from the Grand Palace. For over 70 years, this family-run shop has served mataba — stuffed roti flatbreads filled with spiced minced meat, potatoes and aromatic spices, crisped on a hot griddle. The handmade roti are spun and tossed in front of guests. An authentic piece of old Bangkok that draws tourists and locals in equal measure.
