Jay Fai (เจ๊ไฝ)
Michelin-starred street food — Bangkok's legendary crab omelette by 80-year-old chef Jay Fai.
About this Place
Jay Fai is Bangkok's most famous street food restaurant and one of the few street food vendors in the world to hold a Michelin star. The 80-year-old owner Supinya Junsuta cooks personally over roaring charcoal fires, always wearing her iconic ski goggles. Her giant crab omelette with tender crab meat wrapped in crispy egg is legendary — queues of two to three hours are the norm. Despite its humble street-side appearance, this is one of Thailand's most expensive street food experiences, but every bite justifies the price.
