This hilltop complex, built by King Rama IV in the 1850s as an astronomical observatory and summer retreat, features a mix of Thai, Chinese, and Western architectural styles spread across three peaks. A cable car (50 baht) carries visitors to the summit, where the gleaming white Phra That Chom Phet stupa offers panoramic views over the entire province. The surrounding palace buildings, now a national museum, house royal artifacts and period furniture.
