Erawan National Park
Seven emerald-green waterfall tiers in lush forest — swim alongside nibbling fish in Kanchanaburi's most spectacular national park.

About this Place
Erawan National Park is home to one of Thailand's most beloved natural attractions — a seven-tiered waterfall system with emerald-green pools at each level, perfect for swimming. Named after the three-headed white elephant of Hindu mythology (the shape of the uppermost falls), the cascade descends through limestone and teak forest. Each tier offers a different swimming experience — lower tiers are wider and more accessible, upper tiers more remote and pristine. Friendly fish nibble toes at lower pools. The full hike to Tier 7 takes 90 minutes each way. Bring water shoes (rocks are slippery) and leave snacks at camp (monkeys steal food). Located 65km north of Kanchanaburi town. Buses depart from Kanchanaburi bus station. Swimming pools busiest on Thai holidays — weekdays far quieter.
