Wat Phra That Lampang Luang is considered one of the best-preserved wooden temples in northern Thailand and a masterpiece of Lanna architecture. The 15th-century temple complex is surrounded by an ancient fortress wall and houses a sacred Buddha relic in its golden chedi. In the Viharn Nam Tam, visitors can observe a natural camera obscura phenomenon projecting the inverted chedi onto a white cloth.
