Thailand's beaches and islands represent some of the most visually stunning coastal landscapes in Southeast Asia, drawing millions of visitors annually and producing a constant stream of compelling YouTube content. The country's geography divides its coastal treasures between two distinct bodies of water: the Andaman Sea to the west, known for crystal-clear visibility and dramatic rock formations, and the Gulf of Thailand to the east, favored for its calmer waters and palm-fringed shores. Krabi Province provides a quieter alternative with Railay Beach, accessible only by longtail boat and surrounded by towering limestone cliffs that attract rock climbers from around the world. Koh Lanta, a short ferry ride from Krabi, appeals to families and long-stay travelers seeking relaxed beach life without the party scene.

The Gulf of Thailand islands each cultivate a distinct identity that creators explore in depth. Koh Samui, the largest Gulf island, balances luxury resorts like the Four Seasons and Banyan Tree with traditional fishing villages and a thriving wellness scene. The island's Chaweng Beach runs for seven kilometers and hosts the majority of nightlife and dining. Neighboring Koh Phangan is famous worldwide for its Full Moon Party on Haad Rin Beach, which draws up to 30,000 revelers each month, but the island's northern and western coasts hide tranquil bays like Bottle Beach and Thong Nai Pan that feel worlds apart from the party scene. Koh Tao, the smallest of the three, has earned its reputation as one of the cheapest places on Earth to earn a PADI Open Water certification, with courses starting at around 9,800 Baht (approximately 280 USD). Beyond these popular islands, lesser-known destinations like Koh Chang near the Cambodian border, Koh Kood with its pristine jungle interior, and the remote Trang Islands offer vloggers fresh territory to document.
