Rayong Coastal Fisheries Research and Development Centre (Rayong Aquarium)
A government marine research centre with sea turtle rehabilitation — watch rescued turtles recover and learn about Gulf of Thailand marine conservation.

About this Place
The Rayong Marine Aquarium operated by the Department of Fisheries displays the marine life of the Gulf of Thailand in well-maintained tanks and enclosures. The aquarium focuses on species native to Thailand's coastal waters — sea turtles (hawksbill and green), giant grouper, stingrays, reef fish, crustaceans, and coral specimens. The sea turtle conservation programme is a genuine highlight: injured and rescued turtles are rehabilitated on site before release, and guided turtle feedings are scheduled. The centre also breeds coral for reef restoration projects. While modest compared to international aquariums, the regional marine focus and conservation mission give it educational value. A good family-friendly option particularly for children with marine biology interest. Located on Rayong's main coastal road, accessible as a half-day stop combined with a beach visit at Ban Phe or Suan Son Pradiphat beach.
