The Similan Islands, reachable by speedboat from Khao Lak, rank among the worlds top 10 dive sites. The archipelago of nine islands offers crystal-clear water, colorful coral reefs, and rich marine fauna. Whale sharks, manta rays, and sea turtles are regularly spotted. The park is only open from November to May. Day trips and liveaboard trips depart daily from Khao Lak. The iconic Sail Rock formation is the landmark.
