About this Place
Khao Sok National Park protects one of the worlds oldest evergreen rainforests — older than the Amazon. The trails lead through dense primary forest with giant tree ferns, lianas, and the Rafflesia kerrii, the worlds largest flower (up to 80 cm diameter). Gibbons, hornbills, sun bears, and wild elephants inhabit the park. Night excursions reveal an entirely different world of nocturnal animals.
