James Bond Island, officially Khao Phing Kan, became world-famous through the film "The Man with the Golden Gun" (1974). The distinctive limestone rock Ko Tapu, rising like a nail from the water, is one of Thailands most photographed landmarks. The island is in Phang Nga Bay and accessible only by boat. Tours depart from Phang Nga Town or Phuket, usually combining several bay stops.
