Lampang is the only city in Thailand where horse-drawn carriages are still used as transport. The colorful carriages are the citys symbol and have shaped its character for over 100 years, introduced during the teak logging era by British timber merchants. A carriage ride takes visitors through the old town past colonial architecture, Chinese temples, and along the Wang River.
