About this Place
Susan Hoi, also called Fossil Shell Beach, is a unique geological attraction about 17 km from Ao Nang. The 75-million-year-old fossilized shells form flat stone slabs extending into the sea — one of only three such formations worldwide. A small museum explains the geology. The site is particularly impressive at low tide when the fossil slabs are fully visible.
