Tarutao National Park is one of Thailands oldest marine parks, encompassing 51 islands near the Malaysian border. The main island Koh Tarutao was once a penal colony and now offers jungle treks, deserted beaches, and rich wildlife. Waters are crystal-clear with excellent diving and snorkeling. The park is only open November to May. Basic accommodation and campsites are available.
