Koh Larn (Coral Island) is Pattaya's most accessible island escape, a 45-minute ferry ride from Bali Hai Pier. The small island has six beaches, the most popular being Tawaen Beach — wide sandy with calm water, watersports equipment, and beach restaurants serving fresh seafood. Nual Bay and Samae Beach offer quieter alternatives with fewer vendors. Snorkeling is decent off the southern reefs. Motorbike rental on the island connects all beaches (100 THB/day). Day trippers overwhelm the island on weekends — visit weekdays for a more peaceful experience. Speed boats depart from central Pattaya for quicker access. The island has a small village community. First ferries depart at 07:00 allowing early arrival before tour groups. Return ferries run until 18:00 — don't miss the last one.
