Bueng Phlan Chai is the central lake and city park of Roi Et. In the middle of the lake stands Thailands tallest standing Buddha statue, the Phra Phuttha Rattanamongkhon Mahamuni (67.85 m). The statue is built on a platform in the lake and is particularly impressive with night illumination. The surrounding park offers jogging paths, outdoor fitness equipment, and a lively evening market.
